Judge Steve Perren was born in Los Angeles and moved to Ventura in 1972. He is an Associate Justice of the Court of Appeal in the Second District (11) and was a Superior Court Judge for the County of Ventura for seventeen years. During this time, he was the Presiding Judge of the Ventura County Juvenile Court. The Ventura County's Juvenile Justice Center was named The Steven Z. Perren Juvenile Justice Center.
